Maria Edera Spadoni

I am a public relations expert, trainer and former Italian parliamentarian.


During my ten years of parliamentary activity, I was a member of the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe, President of the Agenda 2030 Commission, President of the Personnel Affairs Committee, and Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies.


I am a passionate and meticulous professional with considerable experience within institutions.

I specialized in political analysis, identifying useful strategies for understanding the institutional context and the dynamics at play.


I advise identifying opportunities, recognizing political developments, and providing recommendations on positioning and image promotion. I also gained strong experience in identifying legislative opportunities.


I am also a strong advocate for women's empowerment and am well-known for my work promoting gender equality and social equality. Active in many international fora, I strive to give a voice to women and girls. Since 2015 I have been a member of the Parliamentary Intergroup for Women's Rights and Equal Opportunities and joined the Women Political Leaders network.


To date I collaborate with various entities, giving my contribution to establishing lasting relationships between institutions and organizations.


I am also a UNITAR (United Nations Training Center) consultant and provide training support to the Multilateral Diplomacy Program (MDPU) regarding leadership skills. Main skills acquired: negotiation, public speaking, recognition of prejudices, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving.
